It takes a special person to be a choreographer on a kids and family television show. The actors are young and often inexperienced and their rehearsal and shoot times are restricted. Heidi has a unique skill set of being able to balance these limitations with meeting the creative vision and demands of the producers and script. Not only is she a talented choreographer, she also brings light and joy to the set, making everyone feel confident and part of a team…which in turn, immensely contributes to the success of a television production.

Mr. Thommie introduced me to Heidi when I was working on my first album as a young artist. It had been years since I took dance classes and as much as I loved being on stage and singing, the movement aspect didn’t come easy to me. Heidi saw something in me that I didn’t know I had. She believed in me and stayed patient through so many rehearsals and through my self-doubt and fear. She worked one on one with me to bring me out of my shell and made me comfortable with moving on stage and dancing with my amazing dancers behind me. I am the performer I am today because of Heidi. Everything she taught me has been with me for the last fifteen years, and will be with me for the rest of my life.
We have been so fortunate to have Heidi share her passion for dance with our students in Disney Imagination Campus (formerly Disney Performing Arts)! Heidi is an incredible creative powerhouse! We have worked together on multiple music video projects over the years and her professionalism, positivity, creative adaptability are what I love most. We recently did a “quarantine music video” 100% remotely and Heidi was more than up for the challenge. She will always be one of my go to choreographers and creatives.
